Summer break continues! Tomorrow I fly to Minnesota to see friends + family. On the agenda: a baseball game, dinner at my favorite Minneapolis restaurant, a half marathon, lake time, and belatedly celebrating my day's 61st birthday. As usual, I'm only bringing a carry-on so I try to condense my makeup and skincare products as much as possible. This little pink Alima Pure bag perfectly holds my brushes, Satin Matte Foundation in Cool 4 (I moved up a shade for summer!), and a half dozen sample sized eye shadows - all I need for a long weekend in my home state. <3

I've spent the last four days hanging out with my parents, who were visiting from Minnesota. We drank wine, strolled down quaint small town streets, ate delicious food, and explored San Francisco on foot. We also visited Alcatraz at my parents' request, which is not something I would normally do. It turned out to be really fun! On a foggy April morning, the island looked especially green and mysterious.
